2012 Ogden Camera Club Annual Print Show

The annual print show is an opportunity for you to show off your best work at the Ogden Art Gallery. Last year we had 76 prints representing 21 photographers. This year we want to break the record and fill the entire gallery with beautiful photos! The Ogden Camera Club will be the featured group during the First Friday Art Stroll on April 6, 2012. Photos will be on display during the month of April.
  • Where: Ogden Art Gallery (2484 Washington Blvd, Ogden, Utah)
  • When: Prints accepted Saturday, March 31, 2012, 10 AM – 4 PM
  • Categories: Open, Wildlife, Scenic, People.
  • If you wish to sell your framed image, please have a price prepared in advance.
  • Prints must be framed (1" max width), wire hangers, no alligator clips.
  • Mattes (if used) must be white.
  • Minimum print size of 8x10. No maximum print size.
  • 4 entries per person with a maximum of 2 images per category.
  • Judging will take place on Wednesday, April 4, 2012.
  • Awards: Best of Show, People’s Choice, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and Honorable Mention per category.
  • All prints will be on display for the First Friday Art Stroll - Friday, April 6, 2012, 5 PM – 9 PM

Updated - Monthly Photo Competition

Digital files should be a .jpg properly sized for viewing on the clubs projector. Native resolution is 1280x720 pixels. Horizontal images should be sized to a width of 1280 pixels and vertical images sized to a height of 720 pixels maintaining aspect ratio to prevent distortion. File names should contain your name, competition subject, and title (i.e. Shaun Nelson – Self Portrait – Tripod.jpg).

Photos should be emailed no later than the 25th of each month for the following month’s competition. Please email your image to ogdencameraclub@gmail.com. You will receive an auto-response when your email has been received. Keep in mind that if you send more than one email in a twenty-four period, you will only receive one email response.

You must be a current member of the Ogden Camera Club to participate in monthly competitions. If you are a new member submitting photos for the first time, or you are currently a member of the B Group, you are allowed to submit two images for a single competition subject. For example, if the monthly competition subjects are Nighttime and The Color Red, you may submit two photos for either subject or one photo for both. If you are a member of the A Group, you are required to submit one photo for each subject. The same image may be not entered for more than one subject in a single month. For example, you may not enter the same photo in a single month for an Open and another subject.

Digitally manipulated images are eligible for competition. All photo entries and digital manipulation must be the original work of the photographer. Photo entries cannot have digital boarders, digital frames, digital textures or text added. Images that display any form of nudity or sexual content will be disqualified.
