Give us your Best Shots!!

Reminder: Please submit your four best photos from this past year by sizing them accordingly and emailing to photos@ogdencameraclub.org Subject: Photo of Year. Please size below 1mb at 1280x720 pixels or as close as possible to maintain your aspect ratio. All subjects accepted for this competition (within reason of course). These need to be received by April 25th to allow time for judging. Results will be revealed at the Year End Banquet on May 14th. So come on... Give Us Your Best Shots!!!

End of Year Banquet

Don’t forget, the End-of-the-Year Banquet will be held Thursday, May 14th at 6:00 PM. It will be held at Gray Cliff Lodge in the Ogden Canyon again this year. This event will be the final event of the year with awards for Image of the Year and overall awards for the photo competition for 2008/2009. The newly elected officers of the Year 2009/2010 will also be announced and inducted. Dinner will be choice of: Yankee Pot Roast or Malibu Chicken. Cost per person is $17.00 including appetizers, entrĂ©e, dessert, drinks and all gratuities. Look forward to seeing everyone there! Close-Up Photography Workshop

We will conduct an open class Saturday May 2nd from 1pm til finished in the auditorium of the Ogden Art Stop. Emphasis will be on close-up/macro photography of flowers but no questions will go unanswered. We will have a Canon 40D connected to our laptop and projected on the big screen for instruction. We will cover exposure, composition, depth of field, and lighting as well as setup for the instruction. Bring your gear as it will be hands on most of the class. You will be able to use these photos as the deadline for May's topic entries has been extended to May 6th to accomidate this workshop. Don’t forget your tripod!
