Sage Grouse in Henefer

Club member Jim Haley is reporting that the Sage Grouse are out in Henefer for all those interested in wildlife photography. "I went out there this morning and saw about 150 birds fly in just before dawn. They were dancing pretty good and just as we were getting our cameras ready an eagle flew into the mess of them and scattered them to the four winds."

Below is that map that Bill Singleton displayed in our recent meeting. Take I-84 South-east and exit at Henefer. Travel South on Highway 65 for about a mile. Slow down to avoid hitting birds that might be in the road.

Here's that sound these birds make and the dance they display.
